The estate and the wine Balancing the generous, ripe Cabernet aromas with the refined touch of oak-aged winemaking, Yannick and Benoît Amirault continue their passionate exploration of Loire Valley reds through organic viticulture.

For nearly a century, their 19-hectare estate has thrived on the region’s limestone soils, crafting wines under the Bourgueil and Saint-Nicolas-de-Bourgueil appellations. These wines are aged in barrels or sandstone jars, enhancing their depth and character.

Awarded 2 stars by the renowned French wine guide RVF, these meticulous winemakers capture the essence of their old vines with precision and finesse. The result? Reds that strike the perfect balance between heritage and vibrancy, delivering remarkable freshness and depth.
Wine Flagship of the estate, the 2023 Red Bourgueil Côte 50 shows all the depth of Cabernet, preserved through delicate aging in large oak casks and clay jars. The nose reveals aromas of truffle, graphite and macerated black fruit. On the palate, it is concentrated and ripe, with firm structure, a touch of graphite and discreet aging that highlights the black fruit aromas. Rated 92 out of 100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested in small crates, grapes sorted and destemmed without crushing, alcoholic fermentation in open vats favouring gentle maceration (3-4 weeks), discreet ageing in casks and stoneware jars for 6 to 12 months to preserve the fruit's brilliance.
