The estate and the wine |
Annick and Francis Jourdan set down roots in Chinon just a decade ago—and since then, their reputation has only grown, driven by talent, dedication, and a clear vision.
Their 17 hectares, stretching from the plains along the Vienne River to the slopes of Cravant, are farmed biodynamically and vinified with precision. Each wine is a focused, pure expression of its terroir—thoughtful, clean, and deeply rooted in place. |

Still very young, the 2021 Red Chinon Les Varesnes opens with aromas of black fruit and striking graphite notes. The palate is concentrated and perfectly ripe, with firm, structured tannins. A fine bottle built to age, best enjoyed over the next six to eight years, and worth decanting if needed. Rated 92 out of 100 by the Selection Committee. |
