Bright, almost black red, with a few vermilion shades. |

Concentrated, opening with intense black fruit aromas and a subtle touch of graphite, its gentle freshness is immediately seductive. |

Dense and rich, with a welcome freshness and great elegance. Delicate woody and licorice notes on the finish. A wine that's still very young and already well-balanced. Remarkable! |

The estate and the wine |
|
|
Château Mondorion is shaking up the traditional hierarchy of Saint-Emilion Grands Crus, backed by the expertise of the Cruse family, who took over the estate in 2013. Now led by Thibault Cruse, this once under-the-radar estate has become a must-try for our enthusiasts.
Its sandy and gravelly terroir brings forth an elegant wine, refined by meticulous aging and constant attention to detail. |

With a balanced blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the 2020 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru shows charm and concentration, combining dark berry notes with a touch of smoky oak and hints of graphite. The palate is dense and full-bodied, yet refreshed by a welcome acidity; a hint of oak and licorice carries the finish with satisfying persistence. Still youthful, this wine already reveals a remarkable balance, with a promising aging potential of over ten years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
