The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine It’s one of the greatest success stories in the wine world over the past two decades. Esclans has become a global phenomenon, its influence reaching far beyond France. Sacha Lichine has revolutionized rosé, elevating it to the status of a serious fine wine. Case in point: Whispering Angel is now the best-selling rosé in the United States.

Since 2006, every detail at the estate has been fine-tuned in pursuit of excellence—taking cues from Champagne’s precision and craftsmanship. From vinification to aging, the tools and techniques are top-tier, and the result is a wine that sets a new benchmark for quality in high-volume production.

Beyond Whispering Angel, the Château d’Esclans wines define a new standard for luxury rosé. Partially aged in barrel and built to age, they pair beautifully with refined cuisine and have earned their place on the most prestigious tables—including Michelin-starred restaurants. These are rosés crafted with the care and ambition of grand crus—don’t miss the chance to experience them.
Wine Inspired by Champagne’s prestige cuvées and made from the estate’s oldest vines, the 2022 Côtes de Provence Garrus Rosé is, above all, a serious wine—defined by its finesse and layered complexity. The nose is crystal clear, balancing ripe red fruit with a lift of freshness and subtle notes of white pepper. On the palate, it’s broad yet focused, with refined tension, mineral clarity, and a long, elegant finish. Gentle barrel aging brings added texture and depth, making this a sophisticated rosé that pairs beautifully with fine fish or tender white meats. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested, fermented and aged for 11 months in French oak barrels.
