The estate and the wine |

Awarded 2 stars by the prestigious French wine guide RVF (Revue du Vin de France), Domaine Charles Joguet stands as one of the Chinon greats — a must-know name in the Loire Valley.
Since 2006, the Genet family has run the estate with unwavering precision, farming organically and producing Cabernet Francs of serious pedigree on top-notch clay-limestone and clay soils. A vibrant sense of freshness runs through these wines, made all the more unique by their northeast-facing plots.
Few Loire estates can boast such iconic wines: Clos de la Dioterie, Clos du Chêne Vert, Les Varennes du Grand Clos. And yet, the domaine also crafts stunning entry-level bottles that make Cabernet Franc downright crowd-pleasing — without ever losing their sense of place. |
