The estate and the wine |
Burgundy remains one of the most coveted wine regions in the world. While finding great value is becoming increasingly rare, our deep familiarity with the region and year-round tastings allow us to uncover hidden gems that deserve the spotlight.
One such gem is Domaine Pernot Père et Fils, a quietly outstanding estate rooted for over a century in the Côte de Nuits, particularly in Gevrey-Chambertin. Spanning just 7 hectares, and led by Pascal Pernot, this under-the-radar domaine produces beautifully crafted wines—still remarkably accessible in price. |

The 2023 Red Gevrey-Chambertin is a shining example of its appellation. Elegantly structured, it offers depth and freshness, with aromas of red and black fruit delicately supported by fine oak aging that enhances its complexity. The balance and finesse of this wine make it a classic Burgundy, ideal for enjoying within the next year or two. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee. |
