A leading name in Morgon and a one-star estate in the French wine guide RVF, Maison Piron stands as a benchmark on this exceptional terroir. Julien Revillon, alongside talented winemaker Pierre Meunier, is carrying forward Dominique Piron’s legacy with consistency and skill, overseeing the 50-hectare estate with a thoughtful, steady hand.
These wines are spot-on interpretations of the Gamay grape—straightforward, precise, and consistently well made. They let the fruit speak with spontaneity, while clearly expressing the identity of each cru and its terroir. |

A blend of all the estate’s terroirs, aged in both barrels and large oak casks, the 2023 Morgon La Chanaise Red offers a very pleasing, balanced, and savory wine, truly delightful to taste. Fresh, pure notes of violet and cherry in syrup greet the palate, with a delicate smoky touch from the oak. The wine has great structure, with tannins that are present but effortless, framed by a vibrant freshness and persistent fruit. A wine with beautiful depth and perfect balance.
