The estate and the wine
The estate and the wine Firmly rooted in his native village of Fleys, Charly Nicolle is shaking up the Chablis landscape. Redefining the boundaries of the appellation, he brings a polished, contemporary vision of Chardonnay to life—crafting wines that are precise, pure, and subtly expressive of a confident modernity.

From Petit Chablis to Grand Cru, he approaches each terroir with passion and a rare instinct. The result? His white wines are a benchmark of excellence—deeply moving and consistently acclaimed in our Selection Committee tastings.
Wine Brimming with tension, the 2022 White Chablis Premier Cru Les Fourneaux is a model of purity, offering delicate floral aromas and subtle hints reminiscent of crushed shells, with no dominant oak influence. On the palate, it bursts with the fresh, crisp flavors of youthful white fruits—think green apple and pear—delivering vibrant energy and a clean, finely sculpted structure. Its mineral precision and lively acidity give it the classic cut of top-tier Chardonnay from Chablis. A beautifully crafted Premier Cru, with great aging potential over the next 6 to 10 years. Rated 93/100 by the Selection Committee.
Vinification Hand harvested. Fermentation and ageing on fine lees for 12 to 16 months in stainless steel vats (25 to 55 hl) and oak barrels (400-litre demi-muids).
